Chipped teeth

Dental Bonding – is it right for me?

You’ve seen amazing before and after photos of dental implants, veneers, crowns, and bridges – but what about dental bonding? Dental bonding can be a great option for chipped teeth that haven’t experienced foundational damage.

Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin material (a durable plastic material) is applied and hardened with a special light, which ultimately “bonds” the material to the tooth to restore or improve person’s smile. (Source: WebMD)

Not only is bonding a great option for chipped teeth – especially if you aren’t sure that more invasive measures like a veneer or implant is necessary – but it’s also a great option for cosmetic enhancements to your smile. These can include:

1. Improving discoloration due to stains

2. Closing a gap between two teeth

3. Modifying the shape of your teeth

4. For the protection of a tooth’s root that is sensitive due to receding gum lines

If you feel you may be a good candidate for dental bonding, schedule a quick consultation with Dr. Goeckeritz by calling 801-435-3567.
